Its not entirely the zombies' hunger, speed, etc. that eventually makes them the dominant "species". Its the stupidity of mankind that always screws it up.
Thats the point Romero always tries to get across in his films: It can be handled easily, but we cant work together to do it right so it all fucks up in the end.
Which I, for one, find that to be more of a horror story that running constantly from sprinting zombies. What separates the fast zombies in DAWN(04) from a group of killers RUNNING after a blonde haired teenager in the countless numbers of slasher flicks? Nothing stands out about the sprinting zombies to me..... |
