He is correct, nothing of this caliber had ever been brought to the masses. It was a break through in cinema and you cannot compare Apples (DAWN 78) to Oranges (DAWN 04). To this day i can watch the original DAWN of the DEAD over and over and over. I can only watch the remake when I am in the mood for intense action. I like the remake it is a great film in it's own right, but NOTHING replaces the original.
