I never seen the original movies until after I saw DotD04. I saw the remake and went back to watch the originals. By not explaining the origins of the virus I was rather creeped out by the Brimstone preacher Talking about the Rapture...was it really happening or not.
Being new to the Movies it was a subtle effect and I wasn't the only one who thought about it.
As for the feasibility of the infection spreading...it was completely unexpected that the dead were coming to life. And as the victims were attacked and brought to the hospitals it created an explosiive situation.
Not to mention that as smaller hostipals were filling up they would likely Medivac patients to other hospitals. All those people on the hospital beds all became easy victims. Not to mention when the military bases started rescue operations they brought many infected people into one area to infect others.
I was assuming after hearing about the satellite bit that only the initial dowse of fallout affect the corpses after which the infection only passed through bites...
BTW I was never interested in watching zombie movies until after DotD04. The remake sparked my interest in the genre... |
