The cinema cut is shorter and therefore lamer than the DC, lol. The DC has an extra scene, a couple of scenes are shifted to a different place and generally all existing gore is extended. Though there is some new footage which is awesome.

Reason for the new rating? The BBFC frequently give a film a "15" in the cinema and then up it to an "18". Happened to Starship Troopers and it's happened several times since.

Why they've decided to only give us the DC? Because it's the best cut and as we're British we don't have the pansies they have in America who demand 4:3 ratio theatrical soft cuts, lol. Seriously, there is no point in worrying about the 'cinema cut'. You're getting more bang for your buck with the DC, which really is the cut you want. And as they're only releasing the DC, they certainly won't be releasing the theatrical version over here.
