I love the idea of a "road trip" Dead film. It will bring the series back towards more of a survival film which is where GAR has always been his best. I think ultimately the problem with LOTD was Fiddler's Green just wasn't that interesting. We never really saw much of the city, or the people who lived in it. A "road trip" movie will never drag -- there will always be some danger or threat around the corner. That's what LOTD was missing.
