Subject: GAR was asking that immortal question, "Who's the realDate: Sat 5-Nov-2005, 10:47:37

MONSTER":

He appeared to be playing with our loyalities, trying to evoke sympathy for the mass and crass slaughter and exploitation of the dead by the living (for kicks and money) in LOTD.

It's one thing to shoot in self-defense another to use 'em as target practice or sport and betting. Hanging the dead up for shooting practice and hanging targets on them seems, dunno, wrong IMO.
Yeah, they were a threat, but as Peter once said, "...there's respect in dying".

Chihuaha and so many were Lindy England assholes, but yeah, the dead were a threat. It was a real manipulation on GAR's part....some don't accept it, it's obvious. But he has evolved the series to this part for a looong time (pie fight in Dawn, Bub)... the dead are often just mindless shufflers, some more messed up and pathetic IMO then scary, and by the time of LOTD they had been dead long enought that they retained memories and reflexes of their former lives (gardener and band).

They still ate when food was there but it seems that the lack of food may contribute to letting them "revert" to their former
selves---the memories and conditional actions from life come back when there is no food source to distract them?

"Who's the real monster?" seemed to be a question GAR posed that few pondered...
