I'd make it about an hour longer. Then I think alot of things that people didn't like (characterization, explanation, etc.) would have been fixed. I think the time restraints and moving up the release date also hurt the final cut.
I did like the characters. Charlie is a character that I expected GAR to put in one of his movies. He always puts outcasts and those from the fringe of society in his movies. Plus, I liked how GAR wrote Charlie as being very aware of his looks and his mental handicap. It worked for me.
I liked Simon Baker and think he's a great acotr and I loved his character. |
