Thats when this someone realised that fireworks would distract them, but didn't think they would literally be rooted to the spot watching the show, more like just heading off into the general direction of the bang/s.

But that is just thinking along the lines of more affordable and/or more readily available "shop bought" fireworks, rather than the professional $500.00 each per unit display fireworks as used in the movie.

Floor crackers, or chinese crackers for daylight distraction, and light combined with sound for after dark.
