Subject: Unrealistic lesbians in LOTDDate: Wed 9-Nov-2005, 11:12:41

The lesbians who got taken out by the stenchers were unrealistically attractive. It seems that no movie, and GAR has proven himself to be no exception, will portray the kind of lesbian couple that you usually encounter, at least not the kind you see in NYC.

It's quite rare to see a lipstick lesbian couple. A lipstick lesbian's partner is usually strapping gal with the James Dean haircut
that I always wish I had. It would have added some realism to LOTD if the lesbian couple both looked like truck drivers.

It may sound like I'm perpetuating a stereotype but, having attended the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Pride Parade in New York for years, I can honestly say that I feel that Romero went totally Hollywood with his lesbians. The "Dykes on Bikes" who open the parade kick ass!

As I wrote in my review on this site about the screening of the Director's Cut at Union Square in New York, the only obvious lesbian couple that I saw at the flick was plus-size and interracial. It would have been great to see them in LOTD.

If Romero has any more lesbians in his (hopefully) future living dead flicks, it would be nice if he got it right.

Cheers...
