The Chicago Horror Film Group is a gathering that I started about 6 months ago. We've had about 4 meetings (monthly or every other month), and we basically meet to watch zombie and horror shorts, independents, documentaries, and features. We've also screened teasers, trailers, and raw footage from zombie movies currently in production, including Circling the Drain, Dead News Report, and The Living End.
Four members of the group were also invited to attend the sneak preview of Dawn of the Dead 2004, prior to its general opening in theatres. We hope to do the same with Land of the Dead.
We meet at a facility that has a conference room with a 70" screen, video projector, and surround sound. The conference room affords us plenty of space, as well as a huge table for discussion, food, and beverages. We don't charge a fee for attending, but we ask a donation if you intend to eat our food or drink our beverages.
