I'd say some type of pike weapon.
Position yourself on top of a lower roof and use your spear to jab down into a Zombie's head.
Minimal effort on your part.
It's reusable too if you don't drop it.
Just make sure you don't get pulled down if one of them grabs it.
You should be able to thin the herd like that.
Until your arms get tired.
