Subject: The security guards were at their work, in the mallDate: Sun 24-Jul-2005, 18:05:30

I'm not going to beat it to death but it seems that all lines of communication were likely NOT exhausted, which is fine, I guess. In the long run, that issue is not what made me give up on the movie.

The biggest issues for me with the movie were that IMO the dead were just way too animated and hyper---why even make them dead? Go the 28 Days Later route and have them be humans infected with rage. Or, homicidal meth addicts (a documentary?)

If anything, the movie was to me simply a "greatest hits" combination of "The Crazies" and "Dawn" and 28 Days Later, and some other movies, I am sure but I will not research now....The final result, for me, was that DOD04 was not too original, memorable, scary, or fun. Hack work.

IMO the baby scene was silly and predictable, and none of the dead were really memorable or haunting, and that the action was too choppy, and that there were maybe 20 minutes of "good scenes" in a 90+ minute movie. I did like the music, though.

Other than those things, the movie was a creative and effective horror film.
