It's narrow-minded to even think that such a concept as "the box" even exists. As a website supervisor, you certainly seem to be antagonistic while expecting people to behave themselves on your site.
Regarding thinking outside NYC, I've hung with lesbians from Baltimore, Philly, Cleveland, Chicago, San Francisco and elsewhere and I still think that it's a rarity to find such an attractive lesbian couple. If the U.K. is the lipstick lesbian couple capitol of the world, perhaps I'd best book a flight.
If Romero was really thinking outside of the narrow confines of your imaginary friend "the box", he would have had a steamy male-on-male kiss. It certainly would have caught everyone's attention without being cliché and homophobes could revel in the fact that the guys were ripped to pieces
