Subject: Good points; SECOND THOUGHTS on the MOVIEDate: Tue 25-Oct-2005, 17:21:29

the actual deleted scenes (make-out mouth munch w/Big Daddy seeming to howl to keep his troops focused; Mulligan getting sprung; toe squish) would have added more for me and made the film even that much more entertaining, interesting.

I also wondered to myself, "where's the scene where Riley and Slack slowly walk around and between the dead who are transfixed by the fireworks"? That scene read so well----I really wanted to see it but Romero changed things torwards the end (slack is not set adrift and comes to the city at the end, separated by riley, et al) No zombie rats is a good thing!

I have replayed several scenes (Big Daddy round up crew as flames cast orange glow over devastated street in Uniontown; Riley and bridgekeepr, Riley's run to Dead Reckoning; feeding scenes).

It's still a good, fun movie IMO but not a dark, devastating or haunting one like Night, Dawn or Day...just not scary AT ALL IMO. It seemed too generic now on DVD, and very slick seeing it again at home-nothing really shocking or nightmarish, even with the enhanced gore. Am I that jaded? or IS the movie so slick, kind of diluted and watered-down horror with a very linear plot, resulting in ONLY a fun action flick with zombies? I don't think I will be replaying this one each month as I do wth Dawn and Day; there's just not enough to keep me coming back....
