As Congress convenes in emergency sessions, NASA officials and USAF try to get to bottom of the
mysterious radiation that is being blamed on the so-called “re-animation.” While Ohio and Indiana have
reported no cases of reanimated corpses, radio chatter intercepted from Maryland and West Virginia
report “waves upon waves” of the undead.

WAR
President Bush, along with Congress has declared war upon North Korea. Acting upon evidence gleaned from
photographs taken from spy satellites, it was concluded that North Korea was responsible for the virus
that has infected the eastern seaboard. The photographs show Korean camps full of shambling corpses
corralled inside gates. While these were thought to be prisoners of war, it has been connected to the
wholesale murder that is now occurring in the United States.

PROTESTS END IN BLOODBATH
When protesters in Washington D.C. were ordered back from the Capital, a violent
fight erupted, resulting in the deaths of over thirty, and the wounding of
almost twice that number. Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld resigned in disgust, as
Powell orders more troops into North Korea. “We must assist our South Korean allies
in their fight for freedom, and hope that we can find a cure for the disease
which ravages our neighbors.”

MARTIAL LAW DECLARED, AS CITIZENS FLEE
As more and more people pour into the southern U.S., martial law is declared in
all states so far affected with the plague. Pennsylvania and New York are
becoming isolated, as Canada closes all borders with the U.S., in an attempt to
keep it clean of the undead.
