I seen the remake in jail, locked up for something I didn't do. They show a video everynight. When they show the dawn remake i was over the moon. I expected a 'based on' version of the original. Much like night 90. I was slightly dissapointed at yhe remake, it is possibly a good film to newcomers to the Romero genre, but as a Romero fan and a big fan of the trilogy, it pissed me off. The only thing in common with the original is the mall, and that is all, no chopper, no Roger, Peter, Stephen, Fran (unless you say the the pregnant woman who gives birth to the zombie baby is suppossed to be a version of Fran). And the remake should have been overseen by Romero, which I thought it was untill I saw the movie. On the whole, a good film like aI say to newcomers. The fact that it had more characters in the movie made it better in that aspect. if they had remade the film truer to the original and added some extra cast, and kept the original cast, also the production and writing was done by Romero and/or Savini then i'm sure i would'nt have been dissapointed, it has it's moments, but not near the the class of the Romero version. That's my view. hit me with a response, anthonygrimes75@hotmail.com. A.K.A DEADFLESH
