Day of the Dead wasn't a squeal, it was a continuation of the dead series. If Dawn 04 does have a squeal then it is coming off of the DOTD 04 universe. Dawn "should" have a few survivors from the first to keep it going or pick up from where it had ended. Like some people finding the cam that they were recording with on the boat to the island and go from there.
