I Can Remember The Day (© Paul Arnold) I can remember that day. David Bowie was on the radio, and smoke was so thick you couldn't see. The radio was on, and it was dark. There were screams, too. You don't hear men screaming like that too often. Just past the car with the radio was a body lying in the gutter. It was smoking, and it smelled like barbecue. I remember being hungry.I cried that day. I was bleeding, and I cried, because really, we'd already lost, you know? I was hungry, and bleeding, and David Bowie was singing, and I cried. I was one of them, you know?
