They were both ridiculous to the non-fan for one big, fat, honking reason. The dead are getting up and attacking the living . If I wasn't the fan I am, I would have left the theater laughing at both films for being so implausible.

Then you would have also laughed at Star Wars or Terminator for the same reasons. Films are there for entertainment. If people laughed at films that weren't "realistic", then they should be slapped upside the head. They're probably the same ones that yell at cartoons for being "fake".

Dawn04 made me cringe at some parts. Especially when the baby scene happened...just god awful acting in my opinion, though you might see it differently.

The baby scene was the worst for me, but only because of the baby. No one else in that scene acted bad in any way. That view was unnecessary in my opinion.

I actually don't. Land had the better overall makeup, as some of the zombies in Dawn04 made me laugh out loud at their ridiculous looks. Especially the running scenes, as the zombies not only looks insane, but the acting was sub-par an them as well. Overall, Land's zombies looked and acted better.

I really don't see a difference in the make-up or acting with the zombies. They both looked dead/undead.
