Well, I wouldn't argue with that. I feel as if Dawn04 is a love/hate type film for people who are so passionate about the genre. If you hate it or love it.......fine. At least you gave it a chance and watched it before you judged and that is as fair as you can be about it. If you saw it as a fun action movie......is that good enough? I was totally pissed off at the idea of them even doing it from the get go, and that fact that it wasn't one of the worst films ever was actually refreshing to me. Do I think it changed the horror genre? No. Do I think it's an outstanding horror film? No. It's a fun movie lacking substance and on occasion I enjoy that. Sometimes though I want something with a little substance or something that steers away from the norm.
Also, you won't EVER hear me down a Fulci flick either as I am a HUGE fan of him. I actually like the fact that people will say that Dawn04 is great and then bash a Fulci flick.........it shows they have no clue what the hell they are talking about. At least in my book. |
