It's pretty clear I thought, at the start of the movie there is the chunk of dialogue about how close humans and zombies actually are now, so that ties in with the end.
They're just looking for a place to go, just like the humans. They're not that different afterall, and in fact, in some ways the zombies are living a 'better life' than the humans. Plus, it references the coming 'zombies are a mere nuisance' angle GAR was originally going for...but something I think will/would happen in the future in that GAR universe. |
