Clear out the entire city and surrounding town area? How on earth can they wall off all that? The city in the movie made sense, three access routes, two are bridges closed off and one is electrified.

Not to bite at you or bitch about you, but the whole "if they'd done this then" thing really bothers me, so many times I've heard so many people say so many similar things about so many movies. If they did it, there wouldn't be a movie - it's a movie too - make believe. Suspend disbelief people.
