Seriously, if you could go back in time and say to the producers that yes they should make the film, or no they should not, and they actually listened to you, what would you say to them?
I for one feel that it was a very good thing for someone to remake the film, without it, would we have gotten that snazzy 4 DVD box set of Dawn 78? Would Land of the Dead have even been made?? If not for the success of Dawn 04 we would probably have been treated to another decade or so of poorly produced and budgeted straight to DVD zombie films rather then have actually having zombie films back in the theaters for a new generation of movie goes to see.
Say what you will about the hows and whys of remaking a classic like Dawn of the Dead, but I for one am glad they did.  |
