Subject: Revival cinemas or "arthouses" sometimes play great older | Date: Fri 28-Oct-2005, 14:22:07 | | ![](img/e.gif) | ![](img/e.gif) films on the big screen, which is where the films were intended to be seen and shown when they were originally made. The aspect ratio, pan and scan stuff on ealy VHS and Beta (gulp) show how films still were made for theatres...now it's a whole new business. I still see some old films shown at art houses or revival theatres; for instance, A Clockwork Orange played as the Midnight Movie not too far way not too long ago, and wasn't Alien re-release around this time a year or two ago? Beg, threaten, or seduce your local theatre owner to show more great old films on theatre screens! |
