Subject: Your mixing up Romero with Resident EvilDate: Fri 24-Jun-2005, 11:40:46

Techincally, Romero defined the modern zombie genre with NIGHT. Before that, it was voodooistic mythology that revolved around it.

Now, if the infection of zombies was the case...maybe abnormalities like swinging zombies could be possible. But it's obviously not the case with Romero's world. It was suggested in NIGHT that it was the result of a probe returning from venus. But it's come to be assumed it's just something that's happening, judgement day.

If you're going to make a remake of something, at least stick to the rules. I could give a rats ass one way or another if the characters and story is changed. But when you change everything and keep the title, that's stealing in my book.

You're right, someone can't write the rule book. But when remaking something, at least stick to the rules of the film youre remaking.
