Have each episod focus on different people with different problems. Week one: A couple trapped in a honeymoon suite Week two: Small group of hunters who have just come home from a hunting trip to find... Week three: show a military episode Week four: ... Get my drift? Now doing a series with all the same cast and locations might not work.
